No Word strong enough to Condemn Peshawar Incident

No  Word  strong enough to Condemn Peshawar Incident

The attack on children in school by Talibans and killing about 142 children is the most heinous crime against the humanity. How can one kill children in the name of God? No religion in the world approve violence and that violence against children.

Pakistan must learn lesson from this and  take decisive action to end the terrorist.

May Allah give strength to the parents of these children!

It Is Difficult to Understand

This is the story of my village. I am not taking their name here as the name is not important but the message is important. It is said- नाम में क्या रखा है (what is there in the name).

2 brothers, working as laborer in a factory, decided to do something for their siblings. They could only think of doctor at that time as the role of doctor in the village community was very important. They struggled a lot. Their monthly income/ salary was not enough to support their family members at home and educational support to their sibling at college.

They decided to do some other work in the evening after factory hours. The elder brother collected some money and the younger one went to market to do the survey of the kind of shop they would like to open. Finally they came up with the idea to open a cloth shop on the street as they could not afford proper shop. Both the brothers were very ambitious, had vision for whole of their families and were committed to what they want to do. Their favorite lines were:
है अपना दिल आस की पंछी उड़ता है उचे गगन पर
कभी तो पहुचेगे हम चाँद की उजली ज़मीन पर

They actually lived with the idea and worked hard. They invested their whole earning on their younger brother who was very bright and hardworking. After a long years of struggle, they saw the morning sun. They desire to not to engage their younger brother in the same profession was fulfilled. The Younger brother joined the civil services with a good position.

Now the whole scenario was changed. 1st few years were very beautiful for the whole family but gradually and slowly things started changing. The actual change started when was married and became father. He has 3 children.

Both the brother resigned from the factory and started their own business. The elder of the 2 developed his family business started by his father where as the younger of the 2 started a cloth showroom in the city. Within a span of 2-3 years, they developed their own brand and every person in the market recognizes them.  He has clients in Mumbai, Surant and other part of the country. With the grace of god and their hard work, the became one of the important wholesale centres.

Now the person, who these two brothers nurtured with their खून पसीना  decided to destroy the business.  He hatched with the youngest brother and eldest son of the eldest brother.  It took less than a month to destroy the business. They two guys would follow the instruction of Destructive Man (DM). The DM would ask them to go to different clients, collect the money. Sometime, they would also take the half the pending amount and leave the shop.

Today, the DM and his family are enjoying. The family of the eldest brother are suffering. They really in a bad condition. The youngest among them got the test of easy earning with the help of DM. Once the business was destroyed, the younger one fell in trap of anti-social element. He has been regular to the local jails. Inspite of lots of trouble and suffering the clothwala work hard to provide him bail.

A Japanese proverb says “Vision without action is daydream. Action without vision is nightmare”. This is actually true to this family. Similarly Nelson Mandela Said” Action without vision is only passing time, vision without action is merely daydreaming but vision with action can change the world”

This is actually true to the family. The two elder brothers had vision, so the changed the world around them but the younger brother (DM) who acted without vision made his younger brother a criminal minded.

This is a fact but even for me it is difficult to understand.

A Story from Badaun, UP

A Story from Badau, UP
Feb 15, 2013

This is the story of 3 villages, 3 schools but same story. It was Valentine Day, the 14th day of February. It was supposed to be a beautiful day but when I visited these villages one by one things were different.

I will share the story of one village called Gariahardopaati in Usawa block.
There were 183 children (M 82 + F 101) as per the register. Only 90 (M 39 + F 51) were present at the time of visit. After interacting with the teacher on duty I came to know that this school does not have regular school teacher for last 8 months. Currently there were two teachers called Shiksha Mitra (Friend of Education or para teachers). Both the teachers are local youth and are working for last one year. They have not got payment (salary) since May 2012. I was amazed with the commitment of these teachers- working for almost an year without any payment. I am sure they will get their salary but the important point is that why not in time. How can they support their family? How we expect quality teaching without payment.

Interestingly only 1 teacher was present at the time of visit and the other one has gone for some kind of training. So literally there was 1 teacher for 90 children in primary school. It violates all the norms of Right to Education Act 2009.

How can our system is so pathetic about the future of this nation, which are children?
